Cleopatra greets Julius by Howlingmojo Cleopatra greets Julius by Howlingmojo
... A man was standing near the balcony, one so frighteningly familiar and yet so completely different that it took his breath away. He fumbled with the clasps of his mantle, but his hands dropped as soon as he heard a rustling noise. It was followed by the sound of naked feet hitting the marble floor, an erratic pitter patter noise that was coming towards the stately man. With a guttural moan he turned around and opened his arms. A brown skinned, green eyed blur flew past their vantage point and into the waiting man's arms. After a moment their lips met and the force of it was so shocking it nearly rocked the man who watched them off his feet.

He turned his disbelieving eyes to the entity standing next to him, only to find that those strange bi-coloured eyes had been watching him instead of the two lovers on the balcony. Unbidden, tears welled in his eyes.

"What? How?" Claude Frollo croaked.

The Archangel Gabriel just smiled.

....

Curious?

Oh brilliant!!!! Great idea, beautifully executed. I love the Elizabeth Taylor movie in particular and now that I think about it that Caesar kind of looks like the Disney Frollo (or rather Frollo looks like Caesar) Excellent job!! Impressive as always :D

NYAAAAAAAAH, DEM FROLLO LEGS! :iconpervplz:
Very ironic and fitting that Esmeralda is Cleopatra considering that she is a Gyspy, descendants of the Egyptians.

I always knew Frollo's angular and proud features were perfect for that Roman look. Yum, yum~

Just Fabulous. And the funny thing is Frollo's Romanesque features always made me think of Ceasar too. That's the Gallic influence of Gaul, I guess.

Mm, in my headcanon Frollo has Italian/Jewish roots, so the schnoz makes a lot of sense. Plus the fact that he had the blackest hair as a kid!

Sorry, accidentally posted in Portuguese ... Sometimes I forget or I shuffle with the languages. auhuahahhaha

Wow! I can imagine them as those characters. Your drawing is wonderful, the heat that flows from them is inviting.

Cleopatra and Caesar is not together, a tragedy. Perhaps in their new lives in France ...

Nossa! Eu posso imaginá-los como esses personagens. Seu desenho é maravilhoso, o calor que brota de ambos é aconchegante.

Cleópatra e César não fica juntos, uma tragédia. Talvez em suas novas vidas na França...

Hugs!

Hell yeah! I never realized how well Fresme reflects Caesar/Cleopatra! I've always been a supporter of reincarnation when it comes to fanfiction, and I could definitely see Claude and Esmeralda being the reincarnations of Julius and Cleopatra. :D
Excellent work as always!

Oh, wow....WOW! I love the idea of Frollo as Julius, he looks very handsome as a Roman. Esmeralda is absolutely beautiful as Cleopatra.

Your little story you have written up has me even more intrigued. Frollo and Esmeralda meeting up in other time periods, how exciting!

Frollo dressed in ancient Roman garb? You trying to make me pee my pants/give me a heart attack or something?!? ;) I have an ancient Rome fetish that nearly rivals my love of Frollo. :D

'Course it is rather a logical connection I suppose, though I never really thought of it. Frollo does have those classic, aristocratic features that you always see in pictures of many of the Roman emperors and nobility. No wonder I find him so ridiculously attractive. ;) And he does have a "Roman" nose...

Man, your current output of fantastic art is putting me to serious shame. I'm likely going to be spending some late nights at work this weekend and into next week (kind of the whole "hurry up and wait"), so maybe I'll squeeze in a brief creative break or two. :)

Yes, yes and yes?

Reincarnation makes so much sense sometimes. Cleo and Jules and Frollo and Esme have a lot in common.

You can relax for a bitt hough, I will be out of the country for the next two weeks, with little access to internet. I will think of y'all as I'm sipping a dry cold white wine on the Italian coast ^^ ( though it would be cool to come home to see some creative stuff from you!)

See you later!

I honestly am going to make an effort to start writing and drawing some stuff. ;) It'll help that the Capitol's summer recess is coming up, so I'll hopefully have some free time to let the creativity flow. ;)

And one of these days I'm going to get my butt over to Europe. In the meantime, I hope you live it up in grand style!! :)

Also, I always thought that Julius Caesar from Asterix resembled Frollo, but now is you have made it possible and is so amazing beyond words!!!
Thank you! Thank you! Both of my favourites Frollo and Rome!!! :iconfrollolaplz:
And Claude is French for Claudius and Frollo seems to be Italian surname! Oh the awesomeness of it all!!!

Hahaha, you would totally notice the resemblance between Asterix's Caesar and Frollo. In my head it makes so much sense! (We can even have that annoying Marc Anthony, guess who he will be?)

(Yaay, Caesarion! Julius and Cleo made a purty baby!)

And in my mind, our beloved Minister is of Italian origins, like Italian father, French mother.
Caesarion, indeed! :D :iconlainloveplz:

Marc Anthony... Sun god... :(
Nothing against Disney Phoebus, but the one from the novel... just no!
